Technical Translation

We provide a total one-stop shop for all translations from small electrical equipment, cars and motorbikes to large scale construction machinery.

This service is complete from the original Japanese or English version; the pictures are edited to remove the original text and replaced with the target translation. An independent translator then runs the finished translation through an all over check for any grammatical, spelling, or vocabulary errors. The corrected version is then bound or printed in-house professionally into the new English or Japanese version.

Copies can be supplied in most types of common media with various kinds of binding available such as fast-back, ring-binding and perfect-binding etc.

Japanese Drivers Licence Translation

We are an approved translation agency for NZ Transport Agencyand through this, we offer a complete and accurate translation of Japanese drivers licences. This service is charged at NZ$60.00 including GST.

This process consists of the following:

  1. A copy of the original valid license may be mailed, emailed, or dropped off at our office.
  2. Translation commences
  3. The finished translation will be issued in the unique NZTA specified format with the signature of the qualified translator.
  4. The finished work can be picked up from our office or it may be mailed/couriered to you. Normal post within New Zealand is free, and a 10 dollar extra charge is required by courier (also within New Zealand).
  5. Any original licence or documents required for the translation purpose are returned in the same way (unless specified differently).

Official Documents Translation

Our translators are members of NZSTI (New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters) and we are trusted by authorities including Immigration New Zealand and New Zealand Qualification Authorities (NZQA).

This process consists of the following:

  1. Copies of the originals are faxed, mail or e-mailed for our quotation at no charge.
  2. Once you are satisfied with our quote, please place an order by phone or e-mail.
  3. We need the original document or a certified copy of the original document for translations to be submitted to the NZQA. For most other purposes, you can send us the original document or any type of copy of the original document. You will need to let us know all readings and spelling of proper nouns including persons names and place names.
  4. The translation will commence once we receive your documents.
  5. The finished translation will be issued in the required format, our company letter head along with the qualified translator's signature.
  6. You can then either pick up the finished product from our office or we can send it to you. This is free by normal post within New Zealand (a 10 dollar extra charge is applied if by courier also within New Zealand).
  7. Any original documents required for the translation purpose are returned in the same way (unless specified differently).

Prices (2011)

Our minimum charge is NZ$60.00 incl GST* applies to family registers (birth certificates), marriage certificates, graduation certificates, Japanese drivers licences and other documents containing 200 Japanese characters or 100 English words or less.

  • Japanese into English: NZ$30.00+GST* per 200 Japanese characters
  • English into Japanese: NZ$30.00+GST* per 100 English words

*Goods and Service Tax in New Zealand is 15% at present.
